LSS has developed a specialized audit process to determine how a company compares to industry best practices and to
identify the areas that can benefit from improvements.
This form was developed to capture key elements of any damage prevention program and to benchmark those elements against
the most cost effective solutions available.
Once the form is completed, LSS runs the responses through an automated “grading†process. This generates an evaluative
summary of the company’s situation as well as highlighting the areas that can use improvement. Our experience tells us
that improved mapping and one call registrations alone can generate anywhere between 20 – 80% reductions in locate
tickets. Many factors determine exactly the amount of savings that can be realized, such as facility types and the
states in which the company has registered facilities.
